VIDEO: Home Automation on a Mac – Indigo Software Part 1

We’ve been tinkering with our home automation set-up for a few weeks now, and we like it so much, we’ve put together a two-part special on the software we’re using – Indigo v6 – from Perceptive Automation. Here’s part 1…

There’s really only one serious player in the Mac home automation software market – Perceptive Automation’s Indigo. Now in version 6 (beta), the software supports X10, Insteon and Z-wave! It’s hugely configurable compared to many ‘off the shelf’ home automation control hubs, and competitively priced if you already own a Mac that you’re thinking of running the software on.

We’ve put together a two-part video, taking you through all the basic settings of Indigo, including a run through all the screens and menu options. This should enable anyone thinking of buying this software to see just what’s on offer!
